Sara Lamie began her interest in physical movement as a student-athlete, and continues to maintain an active lifestyle in fitness and instruction. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Juniata College in 2006 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Franklin Pierce University in 2009.

Within her nearly 15 years of experience, she has focused primarily on orthopedic outpatient physical therapy practice in hospital-based settings, with a focus on sports medicine and geriatrics. She has specific interests in joint mobilization and manipulation, including thrust and Mulligan techniques, individualized exercise prescription, therapeutic applications of yoga, and functional biomechanics.

Since departing from the hospital-based clinic setting in 2019, Sara has enjoyed exploring spaces where the traditional medical model fails to meet clients’ needs. These include fitness instruction and group classes, informational workshops, and injury prevention as well as maintenance. She has also enjoyed providing Hippotherapy (physical therapy for patients, using equine partners as a treatment tool) at High Horses Center for Equine-Assisted Services in Sharon, VT.

Sara’s treatment philosophy incorporates her solid background in psychology and movement science to promote wellness within the individual in body and mind. She seeks to learn what drives her clients in order to form a collaborative partnership. Sara often approaches treatment through the lens of posture and muscle balance, encouraging clients to connect with their bodies through the somatic experience of interoception. She thrives on crafting specific exercise programs with complementary manual therapy techniques in order to give her clients the tools to help them achieve and maintain their functional and recreational goals.

Additionally, he draws inspiration from Thai Massage principles such, incorporating stretches and having an understanding of energetic marma points and sen lines to promote balance and fluidity in the body. Jordi is also a Certified MLD Therapist, a specialized massage technique called manual lymphatic drainage.

Rebecca Szeg, LMT massage therapy approach is both therapeutic and relaxation-oriented. What is Reiki?
Reiki is not a religion, but a Japanese energy healing technique. If you break it down, Reiki comprises the two Japanese characters “Rei” meaning universal spirit and “Ki” meaning universal life force energy. It is believed that when a person's life force energy becomes blocked or is weakened, it can lead to both physical and mental imbalances. Each session will involve gentle hand movements with the intention to guide universal energy through the client in order to promote full body healing. Reiki is practiced with a combination of palms on and off (unless otherwise requested by the receiver). All of us are able to heal our energetic bodies through personal techniques, and receiving Reiki is another alternative approach of healing. It can be beneficial to the receiver in decreasing tension or stress, activating feelings of calmness, promoting relaxation and balancing their energetic bodies.

What does receiving reiki feel like?
Although everyone is different and may react to Reiki differently, many receivers of Reiki report feelings of deep relaxation, mild heat or cold, and/or mild tingling. It is recommended to wear clothing you are most comfortable in. To increase comfort ability, each recipient will have the option to receive reiki either face down or up. Each session offered will be 50 minutes total, leaving a few minutes for discussion or relaxation before and afterwards.

We’re delighted to welcome a rotating selection of guest practitioners to our clinic, each bringing their own unique expertise and perspective. Workshops/sessions may range from yoga classes to art workshops to community circles!
